I'd like some drawing technique and character design insight, :)

I'm also trying to get more exposure for my characters so I can get some feedbacK

Okies! Technique: If you are drawing your final lineart in pencil, it's best to get yourself a very light coloured pencil to sketch with (you can also do this with a soft ordinary graphite pencil) so that you can feel free to make construction lines and plan your sketch before you go in with the final lines. The reason I suggest a coloured pencil is so that you can remove this easily in Photoshop, and so that it doesn't interfere as much with your final lines. This will avoid the ugly rubbing out marks. If that doesn't appeal, at least use a soft pencil such as 2B and invest in a decent eraser. It will make your drawings look cleaner. Of course - if you want a really clean look try experimenting with various drawing pens. Up to you though! I happen to like pencils as well. :)

Overall, I like your character designs, you always make the characters look different to each other and show their personalities. You can compare Athena to Maddie on these latest drawings and see that they are two unique individuals. You could take this further by drawing full length pics and deciding on different poses that suit the characters, and/or drawing headshots with a different range of expressions for each one. Try using some stock photos to find poses and use them as the basis for your drawings.

In my experience on dA people tend to like art that most closely conforms to the look of the anime series it's based on. This leads to people striving to perfect style, or "surface" without really learning how to draw well first. I can give you multiple examples but I'm not mentioning any names here, lol. You're doing things the right way by building up your technique and characters rather than the level of polish you put on them. Keep going, and don't get discouraged if you're not getting as many views as you would like! :)

I don't own photoshop, if I did, I probably wouldn't be colouring in things with pencil XD. I enjoy using pencil, even an automatic one like I'm using at the moment, though I do need a better eraser, as I'm using 2B at the moment >.<.

I'll have to look into doing a new set of full body sketches, i think the issue with the previous ones was that I tried to fit them all on the one page, so they got all squished. dedicating one per page might fix that, but I agree, I think they could both benefit from a bit more explaining.

You can also remove those light colour lines using a photocopier/ xerox :)

I agree - one per page is best. You can always cut and paste them together!
